Dick Spellman is an Executive Consultant at GDS Associates, Inc., where he has worked since 1993. Dick has more than 45 years of strategic planning, economic analysis, market research, renewable energy, energy efficiency, beneficial electrification and demand response program design, implementation and evaluation experience in the energy industry. He served as President of GDS Associates from 2007 to 2018. Before joining GDS in 1993, he was the Manager of Marketing and Product Development at Central Maine Power Company, and he held several management positions during his 16 years at CMP (1977 to 1993). Dick has a B.A. in Math/Economics with distinction from Dartmouth College and earned an M.S. from Thomas College in 1980. He is a certified measurement and verification profession (CMVP). Dick is a native of Maine and has a life-long interest in helping students find meaningful, challenging and interesting career opportunities. He is also an avid hiker, kayaker, and cyclist.
